Someone special has taught me to be free, From this day forward for me no more slavery... Gentleness, kindness, and love is part of me, and so is my dignity. This is NOT WEAKNESS, as others believe. But this strength is within me and within you" Lady J Ann (From Warrior Woman has fully awoken).

Women have been, will be and are Warriors! There are historical evidences that the ‘Weaker sex’ has been anything but over the eons of military history. The Amazons fought in the Trojan Wars, and other ‘Sisters of Battle’ have appeared as mighty Heroines throughout the ages. Cleopatra of Egypt, Artemisia of Persia and Joan of Arc cut a powerful line in conflicts across the globe. Who can forget Boudicca with her armour and chariot rallying the Britons against Roman occupation. Today her presence is acknowledged as ‘Britannia’, found on British Currency and her bronze statue still protects London’s Whitehall, which is ironic since her main claim to fame was soundly beating the Romans and burning Londinium (Roman London) to the ground.

So history acknowledges what we know to be true. Anyone who doesn’t believe in the Warrior power of the Woman needs only to try and come between her and her children and they will find out rather quickly how this power can be unleashed.

The power of the Warrior is distinctly feminine in form. How can I say this when wars seem to be the domain of men? To truly understand the Way of the Warrior one has to understand it from an energetic and values based aspect. Males have what I call the ‘Soldiers’ energy. It is distinctly male as it is external and seeks only to conquer outwardly. It strives to subdue and divide, to destroy and to overpower for gain. Soldiers will fight for a Flag, a King or a cause. ‘Warriors’ are different. They have always been the Custodians of the tribe and represent all that is good about the culture they serve. Warriors protect and defend, they will fight for those that are unable to protect themselves. In the past Women have always been the natural protectors of children and the home without which the men would have no future. It did not take long for women to realise that if their soldier men were defeated that they could expect no mercy from an invading force. They became Warriors by default.

There are of course anthropological reasons for this in as much as how our brains are wired. Male brains have a narrow field of vision but see greater distance and are focused on a small bandwidth of detail. Bred for attack and single action. In contrast Woman’s brains have three times the field of vision to almost peripheral in practice, even though they see less distance. And as we know Woman’s ability to work within a greater bandwidth of action, referred to as ‘Multi tasking’ is ideal for Defense and multitudinous actions.

In history there are very few instances of Women Leaders starting or promulgating a war. They are and have been active in defending and have shown to be resolute in this, certainly not lacking courage to do what sometimes has to be done. One only has to remember Margaret Thatcher’s defense of the Falkland Islands or Golda Meir’s stand to protect Israel.

Let us explore the psychology of the Warrior as it pertains to women. Warriors as we have said are values based and will mostly create an Honour Code whereby their conduct is geared to support and benefit the greater good of the tribe. They also understand as women that which they have in common with every man is that a woman carried them as a Mother. Life is important to the Warrior, as Life continues the journey of consciousness and the progression of the culture. That said a Warrior will willingly lay down their life for a higher calling or the protection of the young if necessary. A Warrior does not squander life because they know the pain and sacrifice it took to bring that life, any life, in to the world. The same cannot be said for the wars of men and the countless lives lost and wasted over unjust wars and senseless conflicts. I wonder just how many wars would start if the majority of Leaders were women. I guess we all know the answer to that one.

Women, like Warriors are strong emotionally and are able to endure greater pain and hardship in the pursuit of their duty, whether that ‘Duty’ is as a Mother, a Friend, a Sister or a Wife. It is often said that if the Human race was dependant on Males having children, our species would have died out many generations ago, if it would have started at all. A Warrior has to have courage and character not only for themselves but to bolster others around them.

My personal belief is the reason that women have been subjugated for centuries is that many men actually fear them! Why wouldn’t we? Women’s brains mature faster, out performing males in school systems. Emotionally they are more supportive and of course more communicative. Women can produce Life and the 28 day ‘Moon’ cycle of the woman was looked upon as magical in ancient times, the gift of life-giving that was denied to men. Men cannot and will never understand this ‘Secret Women’s Business’ that unites every woman as a sister and confounds every man. What men do not understand they fear.

Woman now are truly finding their power and it will be in the unity of opposites that will determine the success of our species. With Male Strength and Focus aligned with Female Compassion and Awareness we have the co joining forces of success just as God designed it to be. In nearly all cultures Women weren’t just given the vote, they demanded it and took it. We see now Warrior Women stepping up to be Captains of Industry and Leaders in their own right. Aware men know that they become better when partnered or supported by ‘The Power behind the Throne’, a Woman in her Power, without fear and absolutely clear that her position is earned.

Do you have what to takes to demand of this life the Power of the Warrior for your own? If you had the choice would you wish to be the Victor or the Victim? For in that you will always have a choice. Never before in history has there been so much need for the Warrior Woman in this world and it corresponds with the opportunities the modern World has for Fearless Women that are standing up and making a difference. A Difference many of your Sisters never experienced. BE that difference today and ensure all of our futures tomorrow.

Simon featured on Leaderonomics TV, in Malaysia

Leaderonomics is a unique social enterprise in Malaysia with a core mission of transforming nations through leadership development. They work alongside large and small corporations and the business world to sustain the business and channel proceeds to deserving communities impacting the youth and under-privileged. Leaderonomics itself is very focused on developing leaders of the future.

On Simon's recent visit to Malaysia he was featured in a 30 minute interview on LeaderonomicsTV.

In Part One, Simon talks about how limiting view points can limit what we achieve in life, and explains how an individuals mindset coupled with the right leadership can lead them to achieve any goal in life. Business leaders should select people on "character" rather than skills, because employees with the right character can be taught any skill!

In Part Two, Simon discusses the concept of "The Warrior" and how the Warrior culture is based on values, which is very similar to the culture of "Special Forces". The Warrior culture is very much based on values and character (as explained in the first video). This applies in business as well, in terms of competition. Select the right people, with the right character, the right values and resource them appropriately, and they will always beat the competition!

In Part Three, Simon talks more about "persuasion dynamics", and gives some great pointers, based on his extensive experience, for both people starting out in their careers and for business leaders.

Enjoy the videos!
